Hi Jon, the serial number reflects a 1980 model, they had two color schemes then, emerald mist (metal flake green)light green bottom and metalic gold (persian orange) with tan bottom
The pic's posted are not the one's you want to follow ... I just realized that, I have some more, I'll locate them. There is about 20 of them I'll get some of them posted now, I'll have to create a page for them on the site later.
The first pictures depict the modification I done to it last May, I raised the "X" (drive) dimention 2 1/2 inchesand moved the transom back 5 inches, and changed the rake of the transom from 12 degree's to 8 degrees, installed the new motor and drive, I don't really know how much the transom mod helped the speed, but all of it together picked the speed up about 10 mph.

Thanks very much, that will be a great help and a lot of work for tomorrow. Not sure I would have been able to take on a job like this without this site.
Dear All, I have just taken on a masive restoration project , this is also my first and wondered if any help/info is available. I have a Scimitar and unbelievably someone has cut out the back to fit an outboard. This boat is just a shell and thats it, any information at all would be of great help particularly engineering drawings of the back of the boat and interior, windows, dash ect. Thank you for any help you can provide me.
