Thanks Bill, and Yes, as you and I have discussed, it's time for a new look and a new direction here, and opening the site up to the intire Carlson boat line, not just directed to the Scimitars, is kind of exciting to me also.
To all ... lets get something strait from the beginning here ... I am not ... again ... NOT trying to take anything away from the Glastron boat line, I have been a Glastron fan for a Lot of years, my only intentions here is to bring a little more attention to the history of Art Carlson, and the intire Carlson boat line, from the beginning.
Bob Hammond, founder of the Glastrons, building the first 24 of the Glastrons in a rented building in 1956, with investors, and enitities, growing into the largest boat company in the world by the year 1973, when Glastron, and Glastron/Carlson, was producing up to 100 boats a day, that's about one boat every 5 and a half minutes. 21,691 boats with a sales record of $36,002,000 that year. With the formation of the Glastron/Carlson enitity in 1969, headed up by Art Carlson, the Glastron/Carlson company began producing the most beautiful, high performance sport boats in the world, those are the boats, Art Carlson created them, thats what this site is about.
Hey Red, A"shout out" to you my brother... wow, I am really excited about the changes you are making to the web site! What a great idea to expand it to include all the Glasrton/Carlson preformance boats. As we Carlson boat enthusiat's need to share the love and joy with any and all who desire to be "messing about in boats".[The Wind and the Willow]. Red, as always, you are creating a work of art that many of us are truly benefitting from. Thank you very much. May God bless you and the Fox always. Sincerely, Pelican Bill
