Yep, Ole Red...you were right again as to the possibility of removing my gas tank through the driver's side ski locker hatch. I spread the task out over a few days...as I had to be careful not to over strain my back, neck, and shoulder muscles! Moreover, I had to cut out a similar access opening on the passenger side in order to crawl up in there and cut the fiberglass straps that secure the tank to the mounting platform. I am so happy that I was able to accomplish this, because that dried up resin entirely coated the bottom and sides of the tank. As you indicated Red, it would have taken years to get all that crud out of there. So, here are a few pics of the removal process and if any one of you other Scimitar owners are having the same problem with your gas tank, I would be happy to share my "how to" experience with you.
