1978 CVZ...is the bare hull worth anything?

Hi Guys,

I bought a boat site-unseen at an auction that was on a trailer I wanted. The boat is a '78 CVZ, 18 foot I believe based on my measurement. It has an OMC V-8 in it. The inside of the boat is disgusting! The floor is like mulch and the seats are pretty gross too. I have no idea if the engine runs. I actually like the way the boat looks, but I am not a carpenter or fiberglass man. I plan on yanking out the engine and sterndrive to see if the engine is worth saving, and then send the boat to the dump. I doubt it's worth keeping, but if anyone here knows someone who could make use of just the bare hull, please let me know. I don't mind hanging on to it through the winter, but come Spring, I have to make room for a hotrod project. I figured this was the best place to come to see if there was any interest in this beast. It's a golden brown color. It hasn't been registered for 20 years. The auction company is supposed to be sending me a title for it, in case it's worth rebuilding. Of course, anyone who wants it will need to bring a trailer. I'll try posting a pic later. It's in Illinois.

Thanks!
