RE: Little too quiet again!!!!

I'm expecting the new belly tank this week for the scimitar I have in the shop now.

In my opinion, moving the 240 pounds gas weight out of the bow to the center of the boat is an advantage

to over-all performance of the boat.

[1] gas tank 37 gal.

[4] baffles [1] ground tab

[1] fill [1] vent
[1] pick up tube
[1] sender mounting plate
pressure test to 5.lb air
mat: 1/8" [.125]  thick alum. 5052 grade
epoxy coat ext. of tank
customer: red mansell

price: $490.00
shipping:?
del. [5] work days
thank you

Ok....have lots of pictures of the hull being split and also stringer/tank area removal.  We are at the point of all wood work removed, transom removed and more.  Also new wood has been cut.  Started reconstruction work and now glass work soon.  Will send some pics

Yes Robert, I have viewed all the Picts of you're boats!!  Very nice collection, I would kinda like to see some more Picts of the scimitar and the work being done to it.   Are you gonna do a transome mod.?  I am also getting ready to split my boat, new stringers, transome W/ mod. and belly tank.  Would love to see some Picts of work in progress!   Yes Red is a wealth of knowledge, I am very lucky  to have him so close to me, I would not even consider doing this if I did not have Red to call for information and a PEP talk. :)

Kirby.....thanks for breaking the silence!   :))     In regard to your question of pics of my Scimitar go to the post several down from this one titled " '82 Scimitar"     Click on that post and once it's up scroll all the way down first.   There are several pics of the Scimitar intact and also my CV23 refinished last year.   As you scroll up you can see pics of separating the hull.   work being done at a local shop.  Red has been a great source for advice both with me and also those working on it (asked them to discuss with Red before moving forward).  Note I don't have the skill that you guys do so have to get work done.  This is a full rebuild.

it's been quiet alright, too cold and windy to do any boating, my shop ain't big enough for the two boats I'm working, one's out the door under the "tent"

80 scimitar outside, Larson hard top in the shop, that might change tomorrow, been thinking I need to put the scimitar in the shop, it's going to Colarado
