RE: Scimitar nose cone

Dr. Doom,

I am good to hit 48mph on GPS with just me in it so I guess that puts the hat on adding one to the Swinger.. I have been trying to talk Red in to building me a stroker motor to put in it just for fun and it being like a sleeper on the water. Lol.

RE: Scimitar nose cone

Nose cones work best above 80 MPH but boats that can run above 60 but less than 80 can get a big improvement in the high speed handling department, Red and I really liked what it did on our Scimitars.     Dr. Doom

RE: Scimitar nose cone

Hello Dr Doom!

That nose cone looks like it will surely cut through the water and give sharper turn action. I always wondered if it would work for my Swinger or if I had enough power for it to make a difference. I know Red always had one on his boats..

Scimitar nose cone

Imco nose cone installed on my bravo 1, glued down with JB weld slow dry, 12 spot welds after JB weld was dry then used marine tex to blend it all together. The nose cone gave the Scimitar super good high speed turning, no trimming down for the turns anymore and a slight increase in speed too.
