Hey Goofy, we turned that motor 5200 rpm the first few times out with the 19 pitch prop and it was runing 55 mph, we put the Enertia 22 on it and it was running 4800 rpm and 58 / 59 mph. The trick to the speed with that beauty is to trim it up enough to get the bow out of the water, bringing the rpm up to 5000 and it will be runing 60 mph.
Thats Awsome, I know the felling. I'm glad to see ya taking it easy the first time out, thats good. That baby will run out almost 60 mph ya know, so when you get it up to full throttle, just pust the trim button up to limit and the bow ill come up and it's time to pay attention, but when you bend it into a turn, just bring the trim down just a bit and bend it on around, you're gonna be amazed, just like driving a Corvette.
Because of the shallow design of the hull on these boats, it's important that you attack the chop directly to show off a little, it's fun then, but when you get waves coming or going off the sides of the bow it's not so much fun and it's hard on the boat.
ahhhh, my first time out and had a blast. it was all new to me so i was extremely cautious and did'nt take to hard. she handled great, even through the chop so i cant imagine what she'll do in butter like water. im going to take her out towards the end of the day when the suns starts setting and see hows she handles. i also made a mental list of some of the things that need to be fixed, replaced and upgraded. i figure there was going to be a few things to fix. ill tell you guys, i got a @#$^&& load of comments when i took her out, "what the heck kind of boat is that?" even stopped the ranger dead in tracks and had to know what it was, kinda cool. ill give an update on the the list and have a few question for you"all, Goofy!!!
