Hi Phil, Welcome to the site ... tooling up to produce the Scimitars began in 1979, they were in production from 1980 to 1983, there were some sold as 1984 models but those were produced in 1983 thats when the production stopped. There were about 500 of the scimitars produced, about 300 of them were sold to dealers in seven different countrie's, leaving about 200 of them in America.
