  I think you are right about flatting out the waves, but how late does the big ferry speed boat run so you can make it back?

I figured out how to get to Sitka, I will follow the ferry and it will flatten the heavy seas for the 132 mile run to Sitka which has some of the best boating on Earth including the Pacific coast line. The Scimitar is to light to do this run with out help.
